Solitude

I can see the sunlight,

Through the leaves of a big tree,

I close my eyes and,

Imagine myself being free.

Dews on the green grass,

My bare feet become wet,

I remember you leaving me,

Leaving me with no regret.

I am here, in the open field,

I can feel the wind through my hair,

I stretch out my arms,

and let those butterflies stare.

Though I am alone,

It feels like someone is beside me,

Probably an angel,

whose face wouldn't let me see.

I smile to the world,

Because I know everything will be okay,

And I know that today,

Is the start of a new day.
